Sure-Lok Cable Lock Control Systems / Surface Mount and Vertical Models. The Sure-Lok is the world’s first cable lock and retainer system for body-powered prostheses. This revolutionary technology mounts right on your voluntary opening (VO) or voluntary closing (VC) prosthesis in line on your cable system. VO split hook users can now lock their cable to avoid damaging fragile objects like picking up and holding fragile plastic cups, cans of pop, etc. VC, Grip Prehensor users no longer have to maintain cable tension to hold and carry objects.The Sure-Lok allows the user of any body powered prosthesis to hold objects in a much wider range of body zones without any effort.New or long term split hook wearers can switch more easily to voluntary closing GRIP prehensors, which offer tremendous grip strength, more natural action and allow you to feel what you are holding. Tools like pliers and scissors utilize a voluntary closing action. With the Sure-Lok engaged, it’s possible to hold onto objects all while relaxing with the object securely under your control.The Sure-Lok is simple, manually locked and unlocked and easy to use. The Sure-Lok can be operated right through clothing, even leather jackets.The Sure-Lok comes as a complete kit with DVD instructions that allow the prosthetist to easily and efficiently install the unit onto the prosthesis.
